THE PPL FLY!

Akilah Sailers (she/her) is a Chicago-grown, Brooklyn planted cultural worker. A graduate of NYU Tisch with a BFA in Drama and a focus on Black Performance Studies, she has performed on Broadway and beyond while collaborating with renowned worldbuilders like Camille Brown, Bill T. Jones, George C. Wolfe, and Robert O’Hara. Akilah has written critical work that has been published in ESSENCE, among other Black platforms. THE PPL FLY! is the creative polymath’s debut project as co-producer, book writer/composer/lyricist, and performer.
